The Parent (or Mother Association). JUAA-HQ. This is the FIRST Alumni Association in India and was founded on 1st January 1921, registered in 1926, as ‘NCE Alumni Association’ (Jatio Shikhha Parishad Chhatrasnagha, in Bengali). Sri Abinash Chandra Bhattacharya was the First President and Sri Hiralal Roy and Sri Upendra Chandra Ghosh were the first Secretaries.

The city was still India’s “Garden City” and “Pensioners’ Paradise”. This was the time when a remarkable JU alumnus, the late S.K.Ganguly (Ganguly’da), brought together a small group of JU Alumni at Bangalore in 1980 and held the first meeting in the presence of late Dr. Triguna Sen.
