Annual Get Together Program held on 13th November'16.
The Alumni Association organized the Annual Get Together for the very first time on 13th November 2016 at the Purbosree Mahila Samity Hall in Chittaranjan Park, New Delhi. It was an evening of fun and frolic as nearly 140 alumni from as far back as 1962 to as recent as 2016 came together to celebrate the brotherhood that is Jadavpur University.
The party kicked off with a fun-filled quiz organized by Kunal Mandal. Besides being a proud alumni of our esteemed institution, Kunal has long been associated with the quizzing circuit. He has been associated with stalwarts like Siddharth Basu and has been part of the research team for Kaun Banega Crorepati where he has worked closely with Amitabh Bachhan.
Things soon took a different turn when the music band Yaarian sang some of their soulful songs. As they belted out peppier songs and the tempo increased, the audience turned the auditorium in to a dance floor! From our very senior brothers and sisters to the fledgling alumni, everyone shook a leg or two!
The evening ended with some delightful food. From Koraishutir Kochuri to Doi Maach to Gulab Jamun, the spread had everything a true Bengali dinner should consist of.
As the curtains fell on an evening of celebration, joy and laughter, each one of us took home with them memories to cherish forever.
